Handcraft is part of my heritage - every female in the family understood that partaking of needlework in al genres was essential.
In 2003, I met a very talented group of local women who jump-started my desire to weave. I have not yet stopped the love affair with weaving - watching the web (fabric) grow into a product is a vastly rewarding endeavor.
My pieces are usually one of a kind - the method of construction may be essentially the same, but yarn or fiber and/or colors will normally be different from piece to piece. Some are woven on a 45" floor loom; some are woven on a triangular loom. All are worked with attention to detail.
I do not consider myself an Artist, but do rather like the idea of being a "Crafty Old Woman". I delight in crafting fine items for those who derive pleasure from their tactile and color senses.
