Artist Statement: Our world contains tremendous beauty, both in the extraordinary and in the common. In my quest to capture just a bit of what is around and put it on canvas, I have found that my life observation skills have expanded and intensified. This quest of beauty is my quest for life vision.

Mini Biography: Allison started painting while in Paris, France, studying part-time with A. Georgeon-Colin from 1994 to 1999 and Timothy Wells in 1997. Her entrance into teaching started in 1998 with the Old Vicarage Painting Holidays in Tuscany, Provence and England. Returning to the U.S. in 2000, Allison continued painting, teaching and showing her work in Texas and New Mexico. From 2003 to 2007, Allison owned and operated Ashby and Allison Fine Art Galleries in West Texas, where her work was displayed along with other artists from New Mexico, Texas and Louisiana. Her studies with Anthony Ryder started in 2007 and she continued at his atelier into 2009 focusing on portraiture and figure work. Allison has exhibited and sold her work in solo and group shows in France, England, Italy and throughout the U.S.
